Double Diva's Diaper Bassinet/Cake

Hello my crafty friends

I would like to share with you, Bassinet/Diaper Cakes my sister and I made for my cousins Double Diva’s baby shower for Princess Amaya and Prince Troy.

My sister Athena (Toosie) and I have been busy learning different styles of diaper cakes.  We started these diaper cakes as the three tier cake.  Then I had a big desire “idea” to try the bassinet/stroller cake.  Boy did I underestimate the workload that goes into these.  Through trial and error of rubber bands, velco, double sided tape and the glue gun, we have the technique down.

Again we added extra perks (outfits, customized onsies, baby towels, burp clothes and blanket) in the cake, so I reminded her to open it.

Daddy and Me Layout

Hello my crafty friends,
I made this 2-page Layout along with my scrappin sistas (Sistas Strap Too) for our sistah’s Danielle baby boy album last September.  It turned out to be an amazing collection of 2-page layout with various themes.  My theme was “Daddy and Me”.
On the Left side of the layout, is the title page “Daddy and Me”  The color scheme was blue, brown and white.  I distressed /sanded  and inked the title.I wanted to add something different on the layout, so I glued down a 4x4 mini album.  In front of the album is a poem named “Daddy’s Boy” and I added a Robert Jackson Blessed III digi image of proud daddy holding his baby.  I made the digi image into a stamp using TC stampmaker.  I aslo added a 4x6 photo mat and embossed a baby rattle.
Daddy's Boy
My little eyes are watching,
My ears are listening too.

They take in everything
That you say and do.

My little hands are eager
To do the things you do.
I'm hoping and I'm dreaming
I'll grow up just like you.

I am just a little guy
Who knows that you are wise
You'll teach me what I need
For someone just my size.

I'm a bright eyed little fellow
Who is watching what you do
And I'm waiting for the day
I'll be grown up just like you.

On the right side of the layout is a sanded and distressed border with baby boy embellishments.  I glued a 4x4-corrugated picture and added 2 pockets for picture tags. And embellished, embellished and embellished.  I love completing this Layout.

Happy 5th Birthday Ayanna Boo!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Ayanna Boo!!!

My youngest niece turned 5 years old yesterday.  She started off the month counting down her birthday and on Tuesday yes said “I can’t wait until tomorrow it is the best day in the universe” and her Auntie agree with her.  She was such a proud princess.  Her classmate sang Happy Birthday to her and then she had her favorite dinner with family and friends.  To top her special night off she enjoyed the family/friends serenading Happy Birthday with cake, cupcakes and ice cream.  By the end of the evening the sugar rush was in full force. LOL.  Here is a t-shirt I made for her.
