Happy
New Year’s my scrapping friends,
I
hope everyone had a great holiday. I really enjoyed my family times sharing,
laughing, eating and creating new memories.
Sometimes it is those precious moments you don't realize it can all disappear in a blink of an eye. Unfortunately,
for me and my family it crept up on us with saying farewell to my Uncle James. I was blessed with the opportunity of
reflecting on his life story. As a young girl I heard about him receiving the
Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medals but never knew why as he did not like to
talk about it. As I was able to read
through his accomplishments and citations of each rewards serving our country
in the Vietnam War, I truly understood why he was awarded with such distinguish
award metals. So I created this memory
board so everyone could know how proud we were of American Hero, My Uncle James. He is now resting with many loving family
members.
Dream
I was dreaming a dream…a dream so
beautiful and profound,
From the battlefield to my life at
home...
I dreamt a dream of peace, calm and
tranquility.
I dreamt a dream absent from pain,
suffering, trials and tribulations.
I dreamt a dream of bright blue skies,
white clouds and pearly gates trimmed in gold.
I dream of angels singing to me the sw
eetest hymns, familiar faces and
endless love all around.
I dream of being free. Free from the
troubles of this world, to stand on the main line, to be a soldier in the army
of the Lord
I dream my precious dream to meet my
Dear God and my Sweet Savior
I dream of a great reunion, I dream to
go Home.
I then realize as the warmth of
heaven’s sun kisses my face. I have to dream no more,
My dream is here...my peace has been
made…for my dream has come true.
Heaven is my reality…I’ll see when you
get here but until then…just dream
Dedicated to my Uncle James...
