Crazy for Acrylic

Hello my crafty friends,

I am sharing an acrylic mini album I completed from a “Crazy for Acrylic” class at My Creative Classroom.   I made a 4-page 8x8” album using various techniques used on acrylic sheets.

On the cover sheet,  I stamped around the border with StazOn ink.  This is a solvent-based ink, designed for decorating non-porous and semi-porous surfaces, such as metal, shrink plastic, acrylic, cellophane, aluminum foil, leather and some glass surfaces.  StazOn ink cleans up easy with Non-Acetone nail polish remover.  After my ink dried, I used my pearl pen to embellish the border stamp and completed the rest of embellishments with 2- 7x7 pieces of Ella Blue Paper Collection,  tulle, Prima flowers and heart charm.

On the second page, I trimmed a large scallop border on the right side. Next, I added Tim Holtz alcohol ink with glitter around the border.  I placed 7x7 Botanique Paper on the backside of the acrylic and stapled floral ribbon on the front side.

On the third page, I embossed the acrylic sheet with the Cuttlebug Swirls plate and added royal purple StazOn ink over the raised edges.  I finished it with 2- 7x7 pieces of  Botanique Paper Collection and Prima flowers.

The last page using my sewing machine, I made a 1/4 inch straight stitch border around the edge.  I used 2- 7x7 pieces of Spring in Bloom paper collection and added to front and back side of acrylic sheet.  I used lace ribbon, butterfly die and rose die to finish the embellishment.

To close the album, I punched 2-holes through all sheets and bind them with tulle.
