IT"S HERE!!!

Guess what UPS dropped off to me in the mail today!!!

That's right my Cricut Expression 2, 5th Anniversary Edition arrived today.  I have been holding my breath since I got the call that my order was being placed on back order, although I called and ordered before it was officially launched.   I am just thankful my order was honored , I am doing the happy dance, but now it's time to learn the new machine and introduce my gypsy to it's new friend.

I will be back later after I cut my first project.

Mother's Day Basket

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

I hope all the mothers. mother-to-be or mothering-mentors had a great day yesterday.   I ha a great day with family spending quality time.  I wanted to share the Mother's Day Basket my siblings, son, nieces, nephew and I gave to my mother.

She had a basket of goodies, lotions, perfume, sprays, plaques, a framed picture of the grandchildren, cards and flowers; and my sister cooked a slamming dinner for her.  It was her new Jenny's Precious Treasures that made her tear up (and everyone in the room)

I painted and decorated an AC Moore box her favorite colors, red, black and silver.

On the inside of the box, I matted a picture of her parent(both watching over us from heaven) and a two pictures of her children.

On the top of the box I made a collage of her precious jewels, her grandparents, husband, siblings, children and grandchildren.

I hope you enjoyed, and thank you for stopping by.

Tim Times Ten Challenge-Day 10

Our last challenge-Day 10, is to make a Brag Book of the nine tags that you have created over the last nine days. It can be bound by rings by using a Cinch or BIA or other wire binding device. The tags must be in the Brag Book in the order in which they were created over the nine days. There must be a way in which you display/provide the recipe for each tag. You must have at least one cut from a die-cutting device -- Cricut, Cuttlebug, MS Punch, etc. You must create a cover which utilizes a sentiment and an image stamp and the acrylic paint resist technique.

Tim Times Ten Challenge-Day 7

Day 7 challenge threw me a wrench and everything else in the toolbox..lol. I had to create an acetate tag. Using a recycled piece of acetate, we had to dry embossed and inked, be two-layered, include an image, and you must use some type of "dimensional" product to embellish your image -- fun flock, flower soft, heat embossing, etc.  The theme had to depict a fall or winter scene (and I am thinking happy spring/summer thoughts).  The acetate should be from some packaging that is recycled plastic and help prevent us from killing our own planet with non-biodegradable materials such as plastic...

Here is my take on this challenge
