I am back!!

Hello my crafty friends,

I cannot believe I have not posted anything since November 2012.  I started a new position at my job the beginning of last year and took a small break from crafting to absorb my new role. It was not easy staying away from the craft room, each time I passed my craft room I could hear my supplies calling my name, LOL!  So while I was away I still completed a few projects.  I completed two diaper cakes, hosted and coordinated decorations for my family reunion,  coordinated decorations for my niece sweet 16, created Mother’s  Day and Father’s Day gifts for my church, hosted a DIY Christmas ornaments with the kids at my church and most recently completed a towel cake.  As you can see I still hand my hands in the craft room and I am back.

Today I will share my diapers cakes that I created last year.  One is a Teddy Bear-wagon diaper cake for my God-Daughter, husband and baby Maddox.

The second diaper cake was for my sister’s God-daughter and we created a princess diaper cake.

I will share I hope you enjoyed and thank you for coming by.

My First Disney T-shirts

Hello my crafty family and friends,

Today I am sharing Disney T-shirts I made for my co-worker Amy.   As you can see they are going to my favorite trip destination Walt Disney World.

I am so excited for her kids that I asked to sneak me in their suitcase; I will be a quiet tag-a-long..lol.   These t-shirts were easy to make, however getting the stamp of approval from Amy’s daughter Isabella had me sweating.  Amy is a scrapbooker too; I know she will be taking that perfect photo-op to make magical memories.   So, Amy and family have a blast on your first Disney Trip.

Recipe:

Mickey ears silhouette

Heat Transfer Vinyl (black, yellow and red)

TJ Family Reunion Souvenir Tumblers

Hello my crafty friends,

Today I am sharing a quick project made for one of my scrapping sistah Treva.  Her family will be attending the Tom Joyner Family Reunion and I wanted to make a souvenir for her.

For these tumblers I used the printable vinyl and applied over-laminate for the logo.  I absolutely love the printable vinyl for multi-layered projects. It is easy peasy, just create your design on your computer, print on on inkjet printer and apply to object.  The over-laminate protects your design and gives it a nice glossy finish.

I designed the names in MTC and cut the names using outside vinyl (oracle 651) and my Zing.

Treva and family have a blast on your trip.

I hope you enjoyed.  If you have any questions please feel free to email me.
Thank you for stopping by.

Tricycle Diaper Cake

Hello my crafty friends,

I cannot believe September is knocking on the door, the days and weeks just have escaped me.  I have been finishing up a few projects that I want to post.   Today I am sharing another diaper cake, tricycle cake I made for my friend’s daughter. Congratulations Courtney and Dominque, the baby made his debut right after the baby shower, two weeks early.  I guess Prince Dominque was ready to enjoy his new toys..lol

The color theme was lime green, blue and brown with monkeys.  My sister Athena and I had had a lot of fun with this diaper cake.   The monkey on the tricycle is just too cool..lol

To make the diapered tricycle, I used 36-Size 3 diapers, paper towel roll, rubber bands and ribbon.  I rolled 18 diapers starting at the waist/elastic end tightly roll the diaper up secure rubber band around the middle of diaper.  I made 3 wheels using 6 rolled diapers and 6 flat diapers, paper towel roll and medium size rubber bands.

Place the medium size rubber band around the paper towel roll. Then insert 6 rolled diapers around the roll.

Then take 6 flat diapers and layer the around the rolled diapers in a spiral pattern and secured with ribbon.

Then I threaded two pipettes through the back wheels to help support the exhaust pipe and threaded a rolled blanket through the front wheel to make the exhaust pipe.  I took the pipettes and wrapped it around the blankets to secure it in place.
Then I threaded blanket through the front wheel to make the handle bar.

Then I placed a sippy cup for the head light, socks on the handle bar and the ends of the exhaust pipes, bottle cleaners as flags, and folded blankets for the seat.

For the diaper cake tiers I used:
Top layer-newborn diapers (60), Middle layer-Size 1 (60) Bottom layer-Size 2-3(70) with rolled lollipop towels and rolled sock rosebuds and monogrammed.

More Goodies personalized t-shirts and diaper wipe case

Orlando Shopping Haul

Hello my crafty family and friends,

I am sharing my Orlando shopping haul while on vacation.  Although, I was sick (fever, cough and sore throat) I was on a mission to find some good deals and unique items that are not sold in Boston.   The first store we put in our GPS lead us to gated residential community and the house looked dim and suspicious so we keep on moving down the road.  My husband laughed at me all the way to the next location, now I had to convince him I did some research.

Our next stop was a store called Piktails.  My sister and I received a very warm welcome from the owner.  She was very helpful and allowed us breathing room to shop and offer to use her scrap space.  Her scrap space was lovely she had all three cricut machines, cartridges, cameo, grand caliber and more. Although, her supplies was a bit pricey I did find some great items.

Our next stop was Hobby Lobby.  It was my first time shopping HL in person.  Oh boy, did I love it and certainly paid the consequence of my cold symptoms.  My husband came in the store with me, but quickly realized I was in scrapping paradise and went back out to the van.  I believe if I was feeling better, I would have because more damage to the wallet..lol.

Here is a mix of paper and cardstock from both stores.  I really love the weight and feel of Authentique cardstock.  I had to pick up this paper for Princess Tiana, its soo pretty

I am looking forward to creating new projects with my goodies.  I hope you come back and check it out as well.

I hope you enjoyed, have a great day..

The Family that Prays together, Stays together

Hello my crafty family and friends,

My family vacation has come to the end, and we are headed back home.  We created some awesome memories and scrap able moments.  Although, our trip was plagued with a viral flu-like symptoms, we still had a great time.
Rockin the Universe at Universal Studios
I was able to do some shopping at Hobby Lobby and a store called Piktails and found some nice deals.  You know I have a scrappers heart, sick and all I was still trying to find that good deal..lol. I will post pictures or a video of my goodies tomorrow.

On Sunday, we went to the House of Blues Gospel Brunch and it was an amazing All-You-Can Eat Buffet and Gospel Show.  They showcased an up and coming gospel artist from Tampa Bay named Paula Stevens-Jones and The Ambassadors of Praise, and a Christian Mime (Ministry) performance by Psalms 91.  The spirit was so high in there, I did not finish my food, I was too full off praising the Lord.  Here is a snippet of the performance. I have to say this was the highlight of my trip.

Our trip logo this year was “A family that Prays together, Stay together” and I am sharing with you all a group picture we took.
The Family that Prays together Stays together.
Well it is the end of the road for our family vacation, I am not sure will our trip will be next year, but God willing I hope we are all together where ever that may be.  We are praying for safe traveling today.

Thank you all for allowing me to share my family vacation with you all.

I hope you enjoyed, have a great day.

Happy 11th Anniversay

Hello my crafty friends,

Today my husband Hollis and I are celebrating our 11th year anniversary.

We got married on one of the hottest day of summer 2001.  We decided to take our formal photos indoors and we started the reception early.  I am thankful for decision, as the thunderstorm came rolling in and knocked out the power to the facility were we had the reception.  We had completed all the formality of the reception and was partying and celebrating.
My son Antoney walked me down the aisle

Our first dance to StarPoint "Till the End of Time"
Mother and Son dance, one of my most memorable moments in life
Wedding Party, too big to count..lol
The other couple’s  reception in the same facility, guest were just having dinner.  We felt bad for them, but relieved we had everything done.

My husband and I laughed that evening as we joked about our union was soo powerful we made it through the storm and we can tackle any storms to come.  Love you babe!!!

I hope you enjoyed, have a great day.
